This gîte is a little jewel. From the outside, you will appreciate its symmetry, its stone staircase with its flowery porch. Inside, the first level includes the spacious dining room with its practical open kitchen. Entering on the left is a small bedroom with two single beds (or one double bed), a (decorative) fireplace, a cabinet with books and board games. There is a toilet and washbasin on this level.

Under the roof, 1 open room, very spacious, with old floor tiles and exposed stone walls, has a cosy King Size bed. A 150x200 sofa bed allows 1 or 2 extra person (or 2 children) to sleep. An extra bed 80X200 can be added in this large room for a 6th person.

The bathroom, partially open to the bedroom, has a designer whirlpool bath and a spacious walk-in shower.

The gîte is equipped with reversible air conditioning.

There is a small private garden area next to the orchard where you can sit in the summer for aperitifs and meals while enjoying a good barbecue.

The swimming pool is just next door. You also have access to the park of the castle for your activities or farniente.

The gîte can be rented for a minimum of 2 nights.

This large gîte with a spacious kitchen-dining area is ideal for a large family or group of friends.

On the first floor with a surface area of 80 m2, you will find the living room of 33 m2 with a fully equipped kitchen, a table for 10 people and a wood-burning stove. A utility room with washing machine and dryer and a toilet complete this part of the floor. On the other side, the 20 m2 living room has a large corner sofa and an armchair around coffee tables. A piece of furniture contains books, board games and a bluetooth speaker. A bathroom with Italian shower adjoins a bedroom for 2 people.

On the 2nd floor, the 3 bedrooms that can respectively accommodate 4, 2 and 4 people occupy the 80 m2 with a bathroom including a bathtub, a sink and a toilet.

You have access to the park of the castle where you can meet for lunch or dinner, you have a Weber gas barbecue, hammocks for napping, benches for lounging.

For young and old, there is table tennis, table football, frogs, shuffleboard, Molky and petanque.

The name of this suite comes from a drawing of Napoleon Bonaparte which was made in his room by Victor Lacaille d'Esse (brother of the former owner), an architect known from Chalon sur Saône but who died very young. A street bears his name in Chalon.

We have kept this unusual design in what has today become the bathroom.

You access this suite through a small private entrance hall on the 2nd floor of the castle. It includes 3 distinct rooms:

The master bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a fireplace and the window overlooks the castle courtyard. A small corridor communicates with the 2nd room.

The second room is a room with two single beds (90x200cm) which can also be used as a living room with a toad chair, a small table, a chest of drawers, a fireplace and a window overlooking the castle courtyard. There is also a small room for preparing hot drinks and snacks.

The bathroom is a separate room with a large freestanding bathtub for you to relax. The window in front of the bathtub lets you enjoy the view of the large ash tree and the little squirrels playing there. You also have a large shower under the watchful eye of Napoleon on his prancing horse. The toilets are separate.

The "Mauresque" room and the Victor Lacaille d'Esse suite can be combined into a single apartment to accommodate 6 people and 2 additional children in an extra bed or cot, with private access from the landing on the 2nd floor of the castle.

On sunny days, you have access to the swimming pool and to the 2ha park behind the castle, you have tables, chairs, benches, hammocks to have a good time.

The 4-person suite "La Mauresque" transports you to the Middle East, with its warm colours and decorative elements that blend refinement and surprise.

This north wing of the castle is the most recent and has no remarkable architectural elements. We have made it a modern room with the story of my paternal grandfather who was director of the tobacco company in Casablanca in the 40s and 50s and a keen amateur photographer. The beautiful photo of the souk of Marrakech, those of southern Morocco or the fishermen of southern Spain are all testimonies of his talent. My father was born in Casa and worked as a water driller in the 1970s. He travelled to many countries in Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. He brought back jewellery and incense bottles from Saudi Arabia and Syria, weapons from Morocco and Nigeria.

This room is very cocooning and warm with its coloured cushions, allowing you to find yourself, in the calm, on the 2nd floor of the castle.

You enter the suite through a private hall where you can leave your belongings, pour yourself a tea or coffee, enjoy a chocolate or a biscuit and take some documentation. From there, you access the suite, you enjoy a cosy King Size bed, and 2 single beds 90X200cm at the entrance of the room. These 2 single beds can be combined to form a 2nd double bed.

The bathroom with a large shower is semi-open to the bedroom. The toilet is separate and outside the bedroom, in the private hall.

The room has 2 windows overlooking the garden. The curtains are blackout.

Located like the others on the 2nd floor of the castle, this suite is spacious and bright. It has a large master bedroom with a king size bed (180), an extra single bed can be added. In the second bedroom you have 2 single beds.

Each room is accessed through a small private hallway where you can leave your coats and suitcases.

The master bedroom has a fireplace with a large mirror and aspires to your relaxation and resourcing.

The bathroom is accessed from the second bedroom. It is located in the round tower of the castle. The large walk-in shower, the washbasin built into an old marble and wood dressing table, and the soft powder pink tiles guarantee a pleasant moment of relaxation. For the time being, you have a dry toilet (with shaving woods)                                                                         in the bathroom which was completely renovated in January 2022.

The Suzanne Noël suite allows you to discover an exceptional 20th century woman. The first female plastic surgeon, she was a pioneer, along with an American colleague, in repairing the "broken faces" of the First World War. Too little known and recognized, we hope to make you discover this remarkable woman and feminist before her time!
